BlackBear was created to aid the healing process of a people caused by hundreds of years of oppression. The people we speak of have suffer psychological damage that remains untreated. In order to undo the damage caused we all must try to understand what being black looks like in modern times. Being black is fragile like a teddy bear. Being black is strong like a bear in the wild. Being black is colorful like our heritage and our people. Support the movement and help reshape the perception of black.
